With each year that arrives, a flood of new trends come with it. Over the last 8 months or so, stick and poke have undoubtedly influenced the tattoo choices we've made. Granted, it may be unfair to suggest that DIY tattoos have dictated every body art decision that’s been made in recent times, but there’s no harm in saying they've made an impact.
You can kind of consider tattoos to be similar to fashion in terms of their trickle down system. You see someone with a certain design and it quickly catches on. So while a few new trends have entered the market in 2020, some of the favorite techniques in the industry will continue to reign supreme. We'd say that tattoo fans can expect to see more minimalist ink work, and more stick-and-poke art that we love!
Its clear that, despite stick and poke being incredibly popular for a while, there's no sign of them slowing down. With Covid restricting people from getting the tattoos they want, stick and poke have driven a new trend to try out designs yourself.
