We'll be honest, stick and poke don’t last for an eternity. They don't last for a long time like machine-made tattoos. However, they last for a longer time and don’t easily transfer like henna styles do.
How long stick and poke's last depends on one main criteria, the artist! The tattooing experience is a crucial matter. Inexperienced artists may fail to execute the technique properly. They may not go deep enough or even go too deep in cases. Either way, this causes the tattoos to fade out before they should.
If you use the correct artist or do them yourself in the correct manor, there's no reason why your stick and poke tattoo can't last for a considerable amount of time. Just trust the process and execute the proper technique and everything should be fine.
Alternatively, if you don't feel prepared then don't worry. Take time to research and learn the basics before you have a go at your first design. Visit our advice blog for information and content on all things stick and poke. You can do this, we believe in you.
Good luck!
